According to the advisory, Indian visitors must carry a valid passport with at least six months’ validity from the date of arrival. They are also advised to have confirmed return tickets, hotel bookings and a clear travel itinerary.
The Embassy has reminded travellers to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 72 hours before arriving in Thailand.
The advisory further states that visitors should hold the appropriate visa depending on the purpose of their travel.
Tourists travelling under the visa waiver or Visa on Arrival (VOA) facility have been advised to carry at least 20,000 Thai Baht (THB) (₹57,467 per today’s exchange rate) per passenger in cash.
To avoid delays at immigration, travellers are advised to keep all required documents readily accessible before reaching the immigration counter. Those travelling in groups should ensure that each individual carries their own set of documents.
The Embassy has also advised travellers who have secured a job offer in Thailand not to use the visa waiver or Visa on Arrival facility and instead obtain the appropriate visa for employment.
For passengers transiting through Thailand, the advisory says they should carry all relevant documents, including the necessary visa, for their final destination country.
