The vessel, which sails from and to Kolkata, has one luxury suite with a king-size bed, ensuite bathroom, walk-in closet and private sun deck. Antara’s website describes the 32-metre vessel as a one-suite luxury yacht.
The company’s inaugural offering is a three-night, four-day journey covering parts of Bengal’s riverine and colonial heritage. The itinerary includes Tribeni, Bandel, Chandernagore and Serampore before ending in Kolkata.
According to Antara, the package includes meals, beverages, excursions and transfers, with itineraries also available for customisation.
The company said bookings for Nauka Vilas are open. The starting fare of ₹1 lakh per night includes pick-up and drop-off from Kolkata, according to the launch details.
The launch adds a single-suite vessel to Antara’s existing river-cruise fleet, which includes Ganga Vilas, Ganges Voyager and Bengal Ganga. Antara’s website says its river journeys range from two to 20 days and cover destinations across the Ganga, Padma and waterways around Bhitarkanika National Park.
