The weather activity is being influenced by a low-pressure area over Southeast Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat and Southwest Madhya Pradesh, according to the IMD.

Heavy Rainfall Expected Across Several States
According to the weather department, heavy rainfall is also expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, East Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Kerala, Mahe, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana and West Madhya Pradesh.
Thunderstorms And Gusty Winds
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 40-50 kmph are likely at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and West Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, thunderstorms with lightning and winds of 30-40 kmph are expected over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, East Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Kerala, Mahe, Odisha, Punjab, Telangana, West Bengal and Sikkim. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also likely on Monday over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and Uttarakhand.
The IMD also forecast strong surface winds at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh.
Weather In The Coming Days
Heavy rainfall is likely over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab between September 14 and 17, while East Rajasthan may receive heavy rain on September 14. West Madhya Pradesh is also likely to witness heavy rainfall on September 14, while rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue across several parts of Central India.
According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and Meghalaya until September 17. Bihar and Odisha may also receive heavy rainfall in the coming days. Andaman and Nicobar Islands are likely to witness heavy rainfall from September 16 onwards.Meanwhile, very heavy rainfall is expected over Konkan, Goa, the Gujarat Region, Saurashtra and Kutch on September 14, while Madhya Maharashtra may receive heavy rainfall. Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe are also likely to receive heavy rainfall in the coming days.
