Vietnam promotes VIS 2026 in Beijing to strengthen trade ties

The Vietnam Trade Office in China this week held a conference in Beijing to promote Vietnam International Sourcing (VIS) 2026, introducing Vietnam’s flagship sourcing event to Chinese businesses, industry associations and international buyers to strengthen bilateral trade links and expand global buyer participation.

The conference attracted around 80 representatives from Chinese trade promotion organisations, industry associations, major distribution groups, retail chains, import-export companies, e-commerce firms, digital trade platforms and professional buyers.

Vietnam’s Trade Office in China promoted Vietnam International Sourcing (VIS) 2026 at a Beijing conference on July 28 to strengthen trade ties and attract global buyers.
The September event in Ho Chi Minh City will connect Vietnamese exporters with international buyers.
Chinese businesses, retailers, importers and e-commerce firms expressed strong interest in attending and forming long-term partnerships.

Minister Counsellor at the Vietnamese Embassy in China Hoàng Văn Tuấn described VIS 2026, organised by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, as a key initiative to strengthen connections between Vietnamese enterprises and international importers, distributors and business partners.

He said the event would help Vietnamese businesses integrate more deeply into global supply chains while creating opportunities for companies from Vietnam and China to exchange information, share experience and explore practical cooperation.

During the conference, the Vietnam Trade Office presented an overview of VIS 2026, one of the country’s flagship trade promotion events, which will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from September 3-5, 2026.

Vietnamese Trade Counsellor in China Nông Đức Lai said promoting VIS 2026 in Beijing was significant in strengthening direct links between the business communities of Vietnam and China while expanding the network of international buyers attending the event in Vietnam.

Lai noted that amid ongoing global supply chain fluctuations, direct business matching between suppliers and buyers is an effective way to enhance the resilience and adaptability of enterprises in both countries.

He added that VIS 2026 is more than a conventional trade exhibition, describing it as a business networking platform that directly connects Vietnamese manufacturers and exporters with international buyers, helping Vietnamese products gain wider access to global supply chains.

Chinese delegates praised VIS 2026 as a practical, effective and results-oriented platform for business cooperation between Vietnam and China. Representatives from leading distribution groups, supermarket chains, import companies, e-commerce platforms and professional purchasing organisations also expressed strong interest in attending the event in Vietnam and exploring long-term partnerships with Vietnamese suppliers.
