The Vande Bharat Express is making it easier for people to travel to some of India’s most famous tourist destinations. The train connects several cities known for their history, religious importance and natural beauty. Passengers can visit places such as Varanasi, known for its ancient temples and ghats, Ayodhya, one of the country’s most important pilgrimage centres, and Jaipur, famous for its forts and palaces. The train also connects travellers to scenic destinations, including Kashmir, Dehradun and Goa. New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat | This was the first Vande Bharat train launched in India in February 2019. Along the way, you can see vast green fields, small towns and rural landscapes. The journey starts from Delhi and ends at Varanasi, with Kanpur and Prayagraj as two stops. (Image X)
Delhi-Ayodhya Vande Bharat | Those who are travelling from this route can enjoy views of towns, villages, farmlands, and rivers across Uttar Pradesh. The train starts from Anand Vihar in Delhi and stops at Khurja, Aligarh, Kanpur and Lucknow before terminating at Ayodhya. (Image YouTube)
Delhi-Jammu Vande Bharat | The journey takes passengers through the states of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir. It offers views of vast farmlands, small towns, and the foothills of the Himalayas. You can also enjoy views of rolling hills and the lower Himalayan ranges.
Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat The route takes you through cities such as Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur and Haridwar before reaching Dehradun. After Haridwar, you can enjoy views of small streams and the foothills of the Himalayas. The Shivalik hills start appearing in the distance. Agra-Varanasi Vande Bharat | The route connects Agra and Varanasi, stopping at six major stations along the way – Tundla Junction, Etawah Junction, Kanpur Central and Prayagraj Junction. Along the way, you can explore farmlands, small towns and the countryside of Uttar Pradesh. (Image X)
Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat | This is one of the most scenic Vande Bharat routes. This journey offers views of snow-capped mountains, deep valleys, rivers and long tunnels.
