TexPro import data revealed that the United Kingdom’s warm-weather apparel pipeline was already strengthening in Q* ****, before the late-May heatwave validated the bet. Across T-shirts, trousers and shorts, swimwear, skirts and sportswear, UK imports reached $*.** billion, approximately £*.** billion, up *.* per cent year on year. That outpaced the broader apparel basket in the UK TexPro categories, where imports rose *.* per cent to $**.** billion, or about £*.** billion.
