Bihar Cabinet Ministers Full List 2025: The suspense over who will be a part of new Bihar Cabinet has finally ended as the full list of cabinet ministers was released on Thursday. JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Bihar’s Chief Minister for a record tenth term, while BJP leaders Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers at a grand event at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan.

The council of ministers features a mix of senior leaders and new faces, reflecting the coalition’s attempt to balance caste, regional and political considerations.
The ministers who were administered oath of office by Governor Arif Mohommad Khan include Vijay Kumar Chaudhary (JDU), Vijendra Kumar Yadav (JDU), Shravan Kumar (JDU), Mangal Pandey (BJP), Dilip Kumar Jaiswal (BJP), Leshi Singh (JDU), Ashok Chaudhary (JDU), Madan Sahni (JDU), Nitin Nabin (BJP), Ram Kripal Yadav (BJP), Santosh Kumar Suman (HAM), Sunil Kumar (JDU), Mohd Zama Khan (JDU), Sanjay Singh Tiger (BJP), Arun Shankar Prasad (BJP), Surendra Mehta (BJP), Narayan Prasad (BJP), Rama Nishad (BJP), Lakhendra Kumar Raushan (BJP), Shreyashi Singh (BJP), Pramod Kumar (BJP), Sanjay Kumar (LJP-RV), Sanjay Kumar Singh (LJP-RV), and Deepak Prakash (RLM).
Ram Kripal Yadav, who previously served as a minister in the Narendra Modi government, has returned to state politics after losing the 2024 Lok Sabha election. His inclusion is seen as part of the BJP’s strategy to consolidate its social base in the state.
Sources indicate that the BJP will also hold the Speaker’s post in the Bihar Assembly, further anchoring the party’s position within the new ruling alliance.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top NDA leaders, marking the formal beginning of a fresh political chapter under Nitish Kumar’s leadership. The new cabinet is expected to focus on stability, governance delivery, and managing the evolving political equations in the state.
The NDA, led by the JD(U) and the BJP secured a sweeping majority in the Bihar elections 2025, winning 202 of the 243 assembly seats. The BJP became the single-largest party with 89 seats, the JD(U) won 85, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) 19, the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) five and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha four.
