Congress leader Shama Mohamed contradicted his own party MP Imran Masood over his remark on the Delhi suicide bomber and said Umar Nabi is not a “misguided youth” but a “radicalised terrorist”.
Mohamed’s remark came after Masood came under fire from the BJP after he allegedly referred to Umar Nabi and other blast accused as “misguided” people.
“Do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful.” – Suicide is forbidden in Islam . Umar is not a misguided youth but a radicalized terrorist!” the Congress leader wrote in a post on X.

What Imran Masood Said?
Commenting on the accused in the Delhi blast, Imran Masood said these are misguided people and they cannot present the picture of Islam.
“The video that has come (of accused Umar Ul Nabi), I do not agree with that video at all. Because it does not present the true picture of Islam. Suicide is not permissible in Islam under any circumstances. You are committing suicide, killing innocent people along with yourself, so that is not the picture of Islam, nor is it the path of Islam,” he said.
