Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and Bhojpuri star Manoj Tiwari on Saturday claimed that some miscreants, allegedly from Tejashwi Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), attempted to attack his convoy during a roadshow in Bihar’s Dumraon, prompting him to drive away from the venue.
In a post on X, the BJP MP from North East Delhi said that the incident took place at Dumraon Ariyanv Brahm Baba Sthan, where he was campaigning in support of NDA candidate Rahul Singh.
He said that while people were welcoming the roadshow, a group of individuals shouting RJD slogans allegedly tried to attack them, forcing him to leave the spot quickly.
Tiwari condemned what he described as “RJD’s hooliganism” during the election campaign for the upcoming Bihar assembly polls.
“Just a short while ago, when people were welcoming my roadshow with candidate Rahul Singh at Dumraon Ariyanv Brahm Baba Sthan, some people chanting RJD slogans tried to attack us. To avoid confrontation, we sped away. Why such hooliganism by RJD during the campaign?” he said in a post on X.

Earlier, Tiwari had also shared pictures of his rally in Dumraon on X and said, ““Today, I participated in a grand roadshow held in Dumraon in support of NDA candidate Rahul Singh. The overwhelming enthusiasm and affection of the people prove that Bihar once again stands with the NDA for development and good governance.”

Earlier on Friday, another BJP MP and Bhojpuri star, Ravi Kishan, filed a police complaint alleging that he had received a death threat and abusive phone calls containing derogatory remarks about his family and religious beliefs.
Officials said on Friday that an FIR has been registered at the Ramgarh Taal police station in Gorakhpur.
He alleged that he received a death threat from a man calling from Ara district in Bihar. The threat, according to the MP’s personal secretary, was made over Kishan’s purported comments on the Yadav community during a recent election campaign in Bihar. The BJP MP responded to the threat, saying he is not scared and would continue to follow the path of duty.
In a strong statement posted on social media, the actor-turned-politician said the threats were an attack not only on his personal dignity but also on faith and Indian cultural values.
“I was recently subjected to abusive language over the phone, with indecent remarks made even about my mother. I was threatened with death, and offensive words were uttered against Lord Shri Ram. This is not only a direct assault on my personal dignity but also on the core elements of our faith and Indian culture,” the Gorakhpur MP said in a post on X.
Calling the alleged incident an attempt to “spread hatred and anarchy,” Kishan asserted that such actions would be countered “with democratic strength and ideological resolve.”
