The BJP on Wednesday released its second list of 12 candidates for the upcoming Bihar elections, the party has fielded former IPS officer Anand Mishra from Buxar.

Former IPS officer Anand Mishra, who left Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party and joined BJP, on Wednesday called his decision to join Jan Suraaj “a wrong step”. In the second list of 12 candidates released for the upcoming Bihar elections, BJP has fielded former IPS officer Anand Mishra from Buxar.
Former IPS officer and BJP’s candidate from Buxar, Anand Mishra tells ANI, “That (joining Jan Suraaj initially) was a wrong step taken by me. It has become like a scar for me now. It suffocates me when people ask me about my time there.”
On Jan Suraaj Founder Prashant Kishor not contesting election, he says, “I knew this from the beginning. I always knew that this will never happen. He is playing his role as a consultant for Jan Suraaj. It is good. If someone does something he is built for, he will always excel. My best wishes with him.”

After getting the ticket, Mishra expressed gratitude towards the party and said, “For me, this is a moment of humility that the party placed its trust in me and gave me a responsibility. Together with the help of all workers, local leaders, and NDA leaders, I will start making an effort to build a new Buxar. I am sure that this is going to be a grand moment.”
“This will not just be an election but it will be with people’s participation…I am very confident about the victory of my party. Our organisation will get to it very strongly. We are 100% sure that we will win here,” he further told ANI.
