With just a few days left for the announcement of the Bihar elections, all preparations have been made to ensure a prosperous Diwali for the people of the state. The Modi government at the center and the Nitish government in the state have made significant announcements to ensure that the people of Bihar celebrate Diwali with full enthusiasm with the launch of new schemes.

The Bihar government has introduced the Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme, which aims to economically empower the women of the state and provide self-employment opportunities.

Under this scheme, a female member of every family will receive financial assistance of Rs 10,000. This amount will help encourage women to start small businesses such as sewing, knitting, food processing, handicrafts, or other small enterprises.

The main goal of this scheme is to strengthen women financially in both rural and urban areas. The scheme has received cabinet approval, and the application process is set to start before the election announcement. Applications can be submitted both online and offline.

Centre’s Gift: Reduction In GST

On Wednesday night, Biharis received another gift from the central government — a significant reduction in GST rates. For a long time, the government faced criticism for high GST rates, but now the Modi government at the center has announced major relief for the entire country.

Under this change, GST rates on many everyday items have been reduced to zero percent. This will make things cheaper and allow people to save money.

GST Reduced To Zero On Essential Items

The GST Council has reduced GST rates on several items. Additionally, taxes on personal health insurance and life insurance premiums have also been abolished. GST rates on everyday items like milk, bread and paneer have been reduced to zero. This will provide relief to the poorest of the poor as these are essential items for everyone.
