Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the grand old party after abusive slogans were allegedly raised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during a rally at the opposition’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar.

In a post on X, Shah said that the use of abusive language filled with expletives against the Prime Minister and his late mother is “not only condemnable but also a stain on our democracy.”

The Union Minister further said that the Congress cannot tolerate how a poor mother’s child has been serving as the Prime Minister for the past 11 years.

“Under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, Congress politics has reached its lowest level. This clearly shows that the Congress party has returned to its old ways and character, through which it has always poisoned the country’s political culture,” Shah said in a post on X.

Shah further said that from the time of being the Chief Minister of Gujarat until today, the Gandhi family has left no stone unturned in spreading hatred against PM Modi.

“However, now they have crossed all limits of propriety. This is an insult to every mother, every son, for which 140 crore countrymen will never forgive them,” he added.

Additionally, Union Health Minister and BJP president JP Nadda also condemned the abusive and controversial remarks and said that such remarks are also a disregard for Bihar’s culture by two princes (Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav) who have crossed all limits of indecency.

“The so-called Vote Rights Journey of the Congress, in which the late mother of the country’s illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji was abused from the Congress-RJD platform, is highly condemnable and reprehensible. This is also a disregard for Bihar’s culture on the soil of Bihar by two princes who have crossed all limits of indecency,” he said in a video message shared on X.

Nadda further demanded that both leaders should immediately apologise for this “heinous act.”

What Happened At Bihar Rally?

A massive controversy erupted during Rahul Gandhi-led ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar’s Darbhanga after abusive slogans were allegedly raised against PM Modi from a stage featuring Congress leaders.

The incident occurred near NH-27 in Bithauli under Simri police station limits, where one of several stages for the yatra had been erected.

The platform was reportedly set up by Mohammad Naushad, a local Congress leader and ticket aspirant for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Neither Rahul Gandhi nor Priyanka Gandhi was present when the abusive slogans were raised.

A video has also surfaced in which abuses against PM Modi and his mother can be heard.

The Congress has distanced itself from the incident, with leader Rashid Alvi stating that the party does not approve of such language and condemned the act.

However, the BJP went all guns blazing in attacking the Congress, calling the language used against PM Modi “absolutely intolerable”.
