After his successful stint in Anupamaa and Celebrity MasterChef, Gaurav Khanna has finally entered Bigg Boss 19. The television actor entered Salman Khan’s controversial reality show on Sunday night and promised to keep his fans entertained during his interaction with the Bollywood superstar on stage.

However, ahead of his entry in Bigg Boss 19, Gaurav Khanna spoke exclusively to News18 Showsha when he revealed why he agreed to be a part of the show this year. “Bigg Boss is the biggest non-fiction television show. I have done a lot of stuff on television. This was something which was missing from my cap. I really wanted to try my luck and just see how I perform. Generally, people from my work line tend to shy away from such things, but I, being a little cuckoo in the head, wanted to try my luck and see how I do in it,” he shared.

The actor stated that Bigg Boss is a game of mental strength and therefore, he is ready to face challenges. “I think it’s a game of mental capacity more than physical capacity because for physical strength, there are other games, other reality shows. Bigg Boss is a mind game. Anybody who has a stronger mind will do really well in a show like Bigg Boss. It is not about muscle, it is about mind. People don’t understand this and they blur the lines. They start playing a wrestling match in a chess game and play a chess match in a wrestling game. That’s where they lose. So, I feel Bigg Boss is a mind game. The stronger the mind, the better the contestant,” he explained.

Gaurav also admitted that even though he wants to avoid “too many quarrels or loud fights” in the Bigg Boss house, he is sure that it might be a little difficult. “Of course, I’ll be put in situations where even I would have to do it, but I would like to do it less in comparison to the other people. I would like to do it for the right reasons, not only for content, because I know people come with agendas and they have this mindset that if they start fighting, start creating a ruckus, they will get noticed. In the end, all the winners who have won, if I see, they are the ones who had the strongest minds, no matter they fought or not, but they knew when to stop. The biggest thing is to know when to stop,” he shared.
