IndiGo on Wednesday, December 24, said it has fully stabilised its operations and is prepared to handle the expected surge in passenger demand during the ongoing holiday season.
The IndiGo spokesperson said since December 9, 2025, it has been steadily adding capacity within government guidelines and is currently operating between 2,100 and 2,200 flights daily. IndiGo is carrying over one million customers every three days across its network, flying to and from all 138 operational destinations while maintaining its on-time performance standards.
The airline said it has effectively managed recent operational challenges faced by the aviation sector, particularly due to dense fog conditions across northern India, which led to industry-wide disruptions. While IndiGo was also impacted, it said operations were handled efficiently to maintain overall stability.
With weather forecasts indicating a harsher winter ahead, the airline said it remains focused on ensuring reliability and minimising disruptions across its network to reduce inconvenience to passengers.

Looking ahead, IndiGo said it is preparing to induct its first Airbus A321XLR aircraft, which is expected to enhance medium- to long-haul connectivity for travellers in India and the subcontinent. As previously announced, the airline plans to deploy the aircraft on routes connecting Delhi and Mumbai with Athens from January 23, 2026.
IndiGo also said it is evaluating additional domestic and international destinations in line with its fleet expansion plans and will share further updates in due course. The airline thanked customers for their continued trust and reiterated its commitment to strengthening connectivity within India and to key global destinations.
Shares of IndiGo parent Interglobe Aviation ended lower at ₹5080.90 on the BSE today.
