Janshakti Janta Dal (JJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav on Tuesday issued a sharp warning while coming out in strong support of his sister, Rohini Acharya, amid escalating tensions within the family and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). In a fresh social media post, he said those who “insulted” his sister would “have to pay the price.”
“We will not tolerate any insult to our sister under any circumstances. Those ‘Jai Chand’ traitors who have done this will have to face the consequences,” Tej Pratap wrote on X, reiterating his criticism of those he has accused of targeting Rohini.
Tej Pratap, who has already been expelled from the RJD, alleged that individuals he labelled as “Jai Chand” had mistreated his sister.
“The misbehaviour committed by these Jai Chand people with our Rohini Didi has shaken us to the core. Whatever happened with me, I endured it. But the humiliation my sister faced is absolutely intolerable. Listen carefully — if you attack our family, the people of Bihar will never forgive you,” he posted.

His remarks came days after Rohini Acharya publicly announced that she was severing ties with her family and the RJD, claiming she had been humiliated, verbally abused and even threatened with being hit with slippers. In a previous post, Tej Pratap said that the entire incident with his sister has “shook him to the core”.

In an appeal to RJD chief and his father Lalu Prasad Yadav, he wrote, “Father, just give one signal. Just one gesture from you, and the people of Bihar themselves will bury these traitors in the ground. This fight is not of any party – it is a fight for the honour of the family, the dignity of a daughter, and the self-respect of Bihar.”
The rift within the Yadav family has widened in recent days, with both Tej Pratap and Rohini openly expressing dissatisfaction with the RJD leadership.
