Booth management has long been the Bharatiya Janata Party’s biggest organisational strengtha model perfected by Union Home Minister Amit Shah since the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Over multiple elections, this system has consistently delivered major gains for the party.

The Bihar assembly elections were no exception. A detailed strategy had been prepared months in advance. Voter outreach began as early as June and covered all 101 constituencies where the BJP contested. Importantly, each voter was contacted not once but three separate times.

In June: Party leaders conducted door-to-door visits, distributing booklets highlighting the Modi government’s achievements and how they strengthened the Bihar government.

In September: The same leaders revisited voters, addressing specific queries and guiding them on how to benefit from central schemes.

Post-Ticket Announcement: Candidates and local teams again reached out to voters to reinforce, connect and mobilise support.

As polling approached, the BJP set up assembly-level war rooms in every constituency it contested, all linked to a central war room overseen by the party’s top leadership.

With two volunteers assigned to each booth, the BJP effectively manned more than 28,000 booths. In the final days before voting, volunteers personally urged families to turn out and vote together.

On polling day, every single vote was accounted for. Hourly updatesenabled by technologytracked turnout booth by booth. If any area lagged, volunteers received immediate instructions to reach out to potential voters and motivate them to cast their ballots.

Over 300 personnel worked round the clock at the central war room, updating data every hour, with senior organisational leaders monitoring every detail to ensure maximum participation.

While top leaders like Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Shah, and BJP president JP Nadda focused on major rallies, several other leaders and star campaigners were deployed across both BJP and NDA seats to strengthen the campaign.

The massive turnout, the record vote margins, and the emphatic result reflect the public’s strong approval of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
