TVS Motor Company showcased an innovative heads-up display AR helmet at EICMA 2025, the world’s largest two-wheeler exhibition. This helmet was introduced in collaboration with Swiss deep-tech startup Aegis Rider.
Utilizing spatial anchoring and augmented reality technology, the helment projects navigation, hazard warnings, and call notifications directly into the rider’s view. Its patented technology ensures users receive all information seamlessly, regardless of the rider’s head position.
At the TVS pavilion, a live demonstration integrated this technology with the TVS RTR 310 motorcycle, allowing visitors to experience the helmet’s features firsthand.
Technical Features
The Aegis Rider HUD helmet boasts a magnetic binocular AR glass and a µOLED projector within a carbon fibre shell. It includes adaptive brightness and anti-glare properties for optimal visibility in diverse lighting conditions.
Runs On A Qualcomm Processor
Powered by a Qualcomm processor, the helmet features a 7,000mAh rechargeable battery. It connects wirelessly to the motorcycle infotainment system and smartphone, offering real-time navigation, call and message alerts, music control, and an integrated 5MP action camera. The helmet is certified with ECE 22.06 and DOT safety standards.
Production And Development
Simon Hecker, founder and CEO of Aegis Rider, stated that developing the spatial anchoring technology took five years. This standalone helmet displays information typically shown on the motorcycle dashboard in a head-up format. The integrated variant developed with TVS and Norton will provide additional data such as turn signals, RPM, fuel level, and gear position. Future developments will include ride assistance features, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) connectivity, and cloud-based ride analytics.
TVS Connect Ecosystem
The exhibition also featured TVS X, India’s first Android Auto-integrated electric scooter developed with Google, offering wireless pairing, navigation, and hands-free communication via Google Assistant. TVS showcased its connected services suite, which integrates smartwatches, phones, vehicles, and home devices.
