Bihar polls 2025: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari promised major upgrades to Bihar’s road infrastructure, saying that the state’s national highways will soon be built to world-class standards.
While addressing a poll-bound rally in Saran, Gadkari said that the government is committed to developing modern highways, on par with America’s.
“…I promise to build Bihar’s national highways as per world standards, and that day is not far off when I will make Bihar’s roads on par with America’s. This is my promise: I will build the best bridges. There are no obstacles; anything is achievable. I’m not doing you a favour – this is your money. You are the master, and we are the servants. We serve you honestly; that’s why you elected us…” he said as quoted by news agency ANI.

Gadkari also assured that there were no obstacles preventing the completion of infrastructure projects in the state, and affirmed that the government will continue to push forward with development works at an accelerated pace.
Further referring to the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ alliance as “Anje, Panje, Ganje”, Gadkari has urged voters in Bihar to support the candidate of the National Democratic Alliance, which he said will generate an “electric current” powerful enough to wipe out the opposition in the State.
Further, he said that the “double engine” government in Bihar and the Centre are working together for the development of the State.
The 243-member Bihar assembly will go to polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with results set to be announced on November 14.
