Knitted garment exports witnessed sharper increase compared to woven garment exports during the period year on year. Knitwear exports (Chapter **) increased by *.** per cent to $*.*** billion, compared with $*.*** billion in the same period of fiscal ****–**. Woven apparel exports (Chapter **) inched up *.** per cent to $*.*** billion, up from $*.*** billion, EPB data showed.
Home textile exports (Chapter **, excluding ******) showed an increase, gaining by **.** per cent to $***.** million from $***.** million, in July-August ****. Taken together, exports of woven and knitted apparel, clothing accessories, and home textiles accounted for **.** per cent of Bangladesh’s total exports, which stood at $*.*** billion during the first two months of current fiscal ****–** (July-June).
