Can India’s KKCL build on its 19% Q1 revenue growth?

Indian branded apparel company Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited (KKCL) has reported strong financial growth in the first quarter (Q1) of fiscal 2027 (FY27).

Revenue from operations rose 19 per cent year on year (YoY) to ₹279 crore (~$29.14 million, as per conversion rate of 1 USD = ₹95.7327 as on July 30, 2026)).

KKCL reported a strong Q1 FY27, with revenue from operations rising 19 per cent YoY to $29.14 million.
EBITDA and PAT grew 29 per cent each, supported by volume expansion, a stronger brand portfolio, operational discipline and improved margins.
The company remains confident of sustaining its growth momentum through FY27, backed by its integrated business model and continued focus on consumer demand.

Revenue and profitability strengthen

EBITDA and profit after tax (PAT) both increased 29 per cent to ₹54 crore and ₹41 crore, respectively, for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

Gross profit increased 22 per cent to ₹121 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹99 crore in the year ago period, while the gross profit margin improved to 43 per cent from 42 per cent.

EBITDA margin also expanded to 19 per cent from 18 per cent, while PAT margin rose to 14 per cent from 13 per cent.

Volume growth supports performance

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Jain, joint managing director, said the company delivered broad based growth across revenue, EBITDA and PAT despite a challenging external environment.

He attributed the performance to volume expansion, growth across the brand portfolio and execution-led operational discipline, which he said supported efficient scaling while preserving profitability.

Retail and non-retail channels expand

KKCL reported consistent growth across both retail and non-retail sales channels during the quarter.

The company said its growing network of exclusive brand outlets is strengthening brand visibility and consumer engagement across menswear, womenswear and kidswear.

Strong infrastructure supports growth

The company mentioned that its strong balance sheet, manufacturing infrastructure, distribution network and focus on continuous innovation position it to address evolving consumer demand.

Its integrated model, it added, allows the company to serve consumers at scale while sustaining margins.

Looking ahead, KKCL said it remains confident of sustaining its growth momentum through FY27, supported by defined objectives and execution plans.

The company operates an integrated business model spanning design, manufacturing, branding and retail, with brands including Killer, Integriti, Lawman, Easies, Junior Killer and Kraus.
