Bus travel remains widely used in India, particularly in Tier II and Tier III markets, where a range of operational and mechanical issues can occasionally affect services despite routine maintenance and service standards by operators.
Under the programme, if a bus booked through AbhiBus breaks down during transit, the company said it will arrange a cab within 45 minutes to help passengers continue their journey. The service will be provided at no additional cost to customers, with AbhiBus covering the expense of alternate transport.
AbhiBus said the initiative is intended to reduce inconvenience for passengers who may otherwise be stranded due to breakdowns.
“For us, the travel experience doesn’t end at booking; it continues throughout the journey, and we’re committed to being there when our customers need us the most,” said Rohit Sharma, COO of AbhiBus.
The company has also launched a campaign to promote the service featuring actor and dancer Prabhu Deva.
AbhiBus said the programme is part of its broader set of customer-focused features, including bus preview images, ticket protection offerings, and filters that allow users to select buses based on age and other parameters.
