Priyanka Chahar Choudhary has officially been announced as the lead of Naagin 7 on Bigg Boss 19, fulfilling Ekta Kapoor’s promise from her Bigg Boss 16 days.

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary has finally stepped into the spotlight fans were waiting for. The actor, who built a massive fanbase after Bigg Boss 16, has now been officially crowned as the new face of Naagin 7 – and the big reveal happened right where her journey exploded, on the grand stage of Bigg Boss. Salman Khan hosted the moment that sent her fans into celebration mode across social media.
For months, viewers were buzzing about who would take over the fantasy franchise next. The suspense ended when Priyanka was introduced as the new Naagin during the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19 – continuing the tradition of unveiling major TV projects on the show.
Talking about landing the lead role she once dreamed of, Choudhary said:
“I still remember the moment on ‘Bigg Boss 16’ when Ekta ma’am said she found her next Naagin, and to have her keep that promise and choose me for this legacy is truly an honour. I’ve always believed that some roles demand an actor to be more than a character; they challenge your strength, your range, and your spirit. The Naagin franchise, running since 2015, has shaped some of TV’s biggest names including Mouni Roy, Adaa Khan and Tejasswi Prakash. Priyanka now takes charge as the show enters its tenth year and seventh season, marking a major milestone for Balaji Telefilms and Colors.
Ekta Kapoor had earlier hinted that she saw Priyanka as the perfect pick during her Bigg Boss 16 appearance. With the official announcement now made, fans are confident that the actor’s fierce screen presence will bring a fresh wave of drama, action and supernatural intrigue to the fantasy hit.
