Glendale-born actor Robert Englund, best known for bringing Freddy Krueger to life in the 1984 horror classic ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’, has officially received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The star is placed outside Larry Edmunds Bookshop, a spot that holds deep personal meaning for Englund considering it’s his favorite store dedicated to film and theater history, and a place where his old Hollywood roommates once worked. At the emotional unveiling, Englund thanked his loyal fans, saying the star wouldn’t have been possible without their support and their love for rediscovering his older films.
