From futuristic battles and magical musicals to adrenaline-pumping heists and heartwarming animated adventures, this month’s lineup promises a cinematic treat before the holiday season.

Here’s a closer look at the biggest theatrical releases hitting the screens this November:

Predator: Badlands (November 7)

The hunt returns in Predator: Badlands, the next thrilling chapter in the legendary Predator franchise. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who previously helmed the acclaimed Prey (2022), this installment marks the sixth live-action and ninth overall film in the sci-fi saga.

The story introduces audiences to a new alien world known as Kalisk, described as a “world of hurt,” where survival is a game of instinct and brutality. Through the eyes of Dek, a young Yautja “runt,” viewers are taken on a visceral journey of resilience, identity and primal warfare. The film stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, promising an intense, character-driven narrative that expands the mythology of the iconic extraterrestrial hunters. Expect gritty visuals, pulse-racing action, and a return to the franchise’s survivalist roots.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t (November 14)

The world’s most cunning illusionists are back in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, the third installment in the popular Now You See Me franchise. Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the film features a smart new screenplay from Michael Lesslie, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese and Seth Grahame-Smith blending sleek heists with mind-bending magic.

Returning to their roles are Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher and Morgan Freeman, joined by fresh faces Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt and Rosamund Pike.

In this sequel, the Horsemen find themselves entangled in their most dangerous con yet one that challenges their loyalties and blurs the line between illusion and reality. Expect clever twists, stylish performances and plenty of high-stakes deception that will keep audiences guessing till the very last trick.

The Running Man (November 14)

Visionary director Edgar Wright brings a new energy to The Running Man, a modern adaptation of Stephen King’s 1982 novel (written under the pseudonym Richard Bachman). This dystopian action thriller, co-written by Wright and Michael Bacall, reimagines the brutal game show concept for a contemporary audience.

Set in a grim future where entertainment and violence collide, The Running Man follows contestants or “runners” who must survive a deadly televised chase against professional Hunters. The grand prize? A staggering 1 billion dollars if they can stay alive for 30 days.

The impressive cast includes Glen Powell, William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, Daniel Ezra, Colman Domingo, Jayme Lawson and Josh Brolin. With Wright’s signature kinetic style and dark humour, this remake promises an intense social commentary wrapped in explosive action and satire.

Wicked: For Good (November 21)

Following the success of the 2024 blockbuster Wicked, director Jon M. Chu returns with Wicked: For Good, the breathtaking conclusion to the two-part adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical. Written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox, the film continues the magical journey inspired by Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel and L. Frank Baum’s classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Reprising their roles are Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West and Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good. They’re joined by Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum.

Wicked: For Good explores how friendship, destiny and power intertwine as Elphaba and Glinda embrace their true identities. Expect grand musical numbers, breathtaking visuals and an emotional finale that’s bound to enchant audiences of all ages.

Zootopia 2 (November 26)

Disney closes out the month with the long-awaited sequel Zootopia 2. Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, the film reunites fans with their favourite duo Officer Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman).

In this new adventure, the clever rabbit and sly fox go undercover to investigate the mysterious arrival of Gary De’Snake, a reptilian newcomer whose presence threatens the peace of the bustling city of Zootopia. The returning cast includes Idris Elba and Shakira, alongside new voices Ke Huy Quan, Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Patrick Warburton and Quinta Brunson.
