Four years ago, on October 29, the Kannada film industry lost one of its brightest stars, Puneeth Rajkumar. On his fourth death anniversary, fans, colleagues, and family members took to social media to celebrate the life and legacy of the beloved actor, fondly known as Appu.

His wife, Ashwini Rajkumar, shared a heartfelt note on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Fondly remembering #Appu on the 4th year…#DrPuneethRajkumar #FondRemembrance #PowerInU. Eternal gratitude to everyone who has kept Appu alive in the legacy of their memories.”

The late actor’s home banner, Hombale Films, also paid tribute, posting, “Remembering Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar, a true legend whose life embodied compassion and kindness. Your legacy continues to inspire and uplift us every day. Forever in our hearts, Appu.”

Director Suni shared a brief yet powerful message in Kannada — “ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಅಮರ #Appu SIR #DRpuneethrajkumar” (Forever Immortal, Appu Sir).

Fans across Karnataka expressed their emotions and memories of the Power Star. One wrote, “Four years gone, yet your smile and spirit still live in every Kannadiga’s heart. I still believe our Appu is with us.”
