Actor Ajith Kumar recently embarked on a spiritual trip with his wife Shalini and son Aadvik Kumar. As his wife shared pictures of his visit to a Kerala temple on social media, fans noticed a tattoo on his chest for the first time, sparking social media buzz.
In the series of pictures that Shalini shared on her social media, the family was seen soaking in the beauty of the temple and its rituals. While the first picture shows her applying tikka on Ajith’s forehead, the next one has the three seated together and posing for the camera.
In the second picture, while Shalini was seen wearing a simple yellow kurta set, Ajith and his son were wearing similar white traditional outfits. In the picture, Ajith was seen flaunting a goddess tattoo on the right side of his chest. The tattoo has caught his fans’ attention, who are now discussing it.
A fan, while reacting to the post, wrote, “That tattoo is of Goddess Ootukulangara Bhagavathy, his family deity/Kula Deivam, the deity of Palakkad Tamils. He visits the temple often.” “He got a new tattoo? Or just flaunting an old one? Either way, it looks fantastic,” another user shared. A third fan wrote, “May the blessings of that God be with you always.”
It was very recently, during an interview with India Today, when Ajith talked about how Shalini handled and supported him throughout, when he sacrificed his family time to build a career in motorsports. The actor had said, “There are so many things that Shalini is handling. If not for her support, I wouldn’t be able to do all this. Looking after the home, the children, when I am away, it is not just a sacrifice on my side. The children hardly get to see me, and I miss them as much as they miss me. These are the things that are never seen or understood. But when you love something so dearly, you have to make your sacrifices.”
Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar and Shalini celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in April. Shalini took to her Instagram account to share a video from the celebration.
Ajith Kumar and Shalini met and fell in love on the sets of Saran’s film Amarkalam in 1999. The very next year, they got married. They are parents to two children—Anoushka and Aadvik.
