Besides acting, Saiyami Kher harbours a deep passion for sports. Earlier this month, the 33-year-old was crowned the brand ambassador for Ironman India. She achieved the remarkable feat of completing the Ironman 70.3 triathlon twice within a span of less than 12 months. At present, Saiyami is on a Roman vacation with her parents and sister. But her love for athletics drove her to participate in the Rome 2025 Half Marathon, weaving leisure with activity.
A few days ago, Saiyami Kher dropped a carousel of pictures on Instagram offering a peek into her sporty sojourn. The opening frame captured the Ghoomer film actress, dressed in running gear, posing with her medal against the backdrop of the iconic Colosseum. The next couple of snaps showed Saiyami running at several popular spots in the city, including the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.
Saiyami Kher Spends Diwali In Rome
Saiyami Kher also clicked a sun-kissed selfie with her loved ones, smiling ear-to-ear. In the last frame, she relished what appeared to be a gelato ice cream topped with a wafer cookie. “Happy Diwali (red heart emoji). Family holiday + a beautiful half-marathon. Can’t get better. Wishing everyone all the love and happiness,” she captioned the post.
Saiyami Kher Opens Up On Marathon Love
Saiyami Kher, known for her Ironman triathlon participations, expressed her love for running while exploring a new city. She said, The best way to see a city is on foot. Running through its streets and feeling its energy. Every time I travel, I try to do a half-marathon there. It is my favourite way to explore. Rome honestly has to be one of the prettiest runs I have ever done. From the Spanish Steps to the Trevi Fountain and finishing at the Colosseum, it felt like running through a postcard.
The actress added, “The weather was perfect, the air was fresh, and every corner had some piece of history waiting for me. There were moments I forgot I was even racing. I was just grinning and soaking it all in. And after 21 kms through the heart of Rome, I definitely earned every slice of pizza and gelato that followed.”
