Tollywood power couple Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela have joyfully announced their second pregnancy and this time, it’s double the happiness because the star couple is expecting twins. The happy news came via a heartfelt video from Upasana’s traditional “godhbarai” ceremony, held during Diwali and attended by their close-knit family.

Fans and well-wishers flooded social media with congratulations, and the entire Konidela-Allu family circle seemed to come alive in celebration. The video shows Upasana glowing in a blue salwar suit, seated as loved ones shower her with gifts and blessings. Ram Charan looks equally festive in a blue kurta, standing beside his wife with pride and joy. Family legends like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and others joined the celebrations too. From the film industry, close friends Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan and their twins are also seen posing with the happy parents-to-be.

Daughter Klin Kaara To Become Big Sister

The couple’s daughter, Klin Kaara, who was born in June 2023, will be growing into her role as a big sister to twin siblings. “Double the celebration, double the love and double the blessings,” the Instagram caption read — perfectly capturing the spirit of this family milestone.

As parents, the couple has made it a point not to reveal their daughter’s face in public or on social media. During every appearance, both Ram and Upasana have made sure to cover Klin’s face.

While speaking to Hindustan Times recently, Upasana revealed the reason behind keeping their daughter away from the limelight. Upasana discussed that she and her husband have consciously limited their two-year-old daughter’s public appearances, ensuring that she isn’t constantly in the public eye. Many celebrities have started following a similar approach in recent times.

When asked if they plan to continue doing so until their daughter reaches a certain age, Upasana mentioned, “I don’t know.” She then explained, “The world is a place that’s changing so rapidly, and few incidents scare us as parents, but we also want to give a child the freedom to live.”

“Covering her face while going to the airport or things like that. It’s a huge task for the mother, for the child, for the father, for everyone around as well. So I don’t know whether we are doing the right thing or not, but for now, we are happy where we are,” she added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ram Charan is all set to return to the big screens with his much-anticipated next, Peddi.
