Karisma Kapoor’s quiet Diwali post sparks buzz as her kids contest ex-husband Sunjay Kapur’s will; Kareena Kapoor sends a heartfelt message of strength and love.

Karisma Kapoor celebrates Diwali with her kids as Kareena Kapoor sends a heartfelt message.
Actress Karisma Kapoor marked a serene Diwali with her children, Samaira and Kiaan, even as a high-profile legal battle over her ex-husband Sunjay Kapur’s estate continues to unfold. Sunjay, a businessman and Polo enthusiast, tragically died earlier this year at the age of 52 after reportedly swallowing a bee during a game in England, leading to a fatal anaphylactic shock.
While the late industrialist’s inheritance dispute has taken a complex legal turn, Karisma chose to spend the festival in peace at home. Sharing a photo of herself dressed in a pastel pink ethnic outfit, she simply captioned her post “Positivity (sic),” as she lit an earthen lamp with her children.
Kareena Kapoor’s Supportive Comment Wins Hearts
Karisma’s cryptic Diwali post drew reactions from her family and fans alike. Her sister, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, was among the first to comment, writing, “The strongest girl in the world my sister ❤️❤️ only positivity to you, my Sam and Kiu (sic).” Kareena’s sister-in-law Saba Pataudi also extended warmth with a brief but heartfelt comment: “Tight hug!”
The post, understated yet deeply symbolic, reflected Karisma’s resilience amid personal and legal challenges. Fans flooded her comments with messages of strength and admiration for the actress, who has remained dignified and private throughout the ordeal.
Estate Feud Deepens Over Disputed Will
The Rs 30,000 crore inheritance dispute between Karisma’s children and Sunjay’s wife Priya Sachdev Kapur continues to dominate headlines. Priya’s counsel Rajiv Nayar argued in court that the children’s challenge to the will was “non-existent,” claiming, “The only grounds to contest a will are if the deceased was not of sound mind, was under coercion, or was incapable of executing it — none of which apply here.”
According to reports, Priya has inherited 75% of the estate, while Karisma’s children have a 25% share. However, Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, representing Karisma’s family, pointed out “glaring errors” in the will — including the repeated use of feminine pronouns such as “she” and “her,” calling it “an absurdity.” He remarked, “Sunjay Kapur has signed this Will as a woman. It is replete with feminine pronouns. Unless Sunjay was of unsound mind, he could never have signed this.”
