The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted a U/A certificate to Aaryan, the upcoming investigative thriller directed by Praveen K and headlined by actor-producer Vishnu Vishal. The film, produced under Vishnu Vishal Studioz, is now set for a worldwide theatrical release on October 31, 2025.
Confirming the development, Vishnu Vishal Studioz shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “From ‘Under Investigation’ To U/A. #Aaryan – cleared, certified and coming to theatres on October 31st.” The certification marks an important step for the film, which has been described as an intense action thriller with an emotional core.
The trailer, released earlier, offers a tense look at the storyline. Selvaraghavan plays a serial killer who taunts the police by revealing the name of his next victim exactly one hour before committing the murder. As the police scramble to prevent further killings, the case is assigned to officer Aaryan, played by Vishnu Vishal, known for solving a similar case in Kodaikanal. What follows is a gripping cat-and-mouse chase between the cop and the criminal.
Aaryan features Vishnu Vishal as a police officer, with Selvaraghavan, Shraddha Srinath, and Maanasa Choudhary in pivotal roles. The supporting cast includes Sai Ronak, Tarak Ponnappa, Mala Parvathi, Avinash, and Abishek Joseph George. The film is co-written by Manu Anand, who previously directed FIR, also starring Vishnu Vishal.
Behind the camera, Harish Kannan handles cinematography, while Sam CS has composed the music. The film’s editing is by San Lokesh, with action sequences choreographed by Stunt Silva.
The project holds sentimental value for Vishnu Vishal, who revealed during the film’s launch in September 2022, “My son now has my film in his name. This is going to be an unforgettable title for me.”
After wrapping up filming in February this year, the actor had shared an emotional update on social media, writing, “I just have one promise to make today. #Aaryan will be a unique viewing experience to all the audiences…Shoot wrapped!”
Jointly produced by Vishnu Vishal Studioz along with Shubhra and Aryan Ramesh, Aaryan promises to deliver a high-stakes investigative thriller packed with action and suspense. With the CBFC certification now complete, the film is gearing up for its much-awaited release on October 31.
