‘Baahubali’ Prabhas will turn 46 tomorrow, October 23. He made his debut with the Telugu film Eeswar and since then there has been no looking back. In his 23-year-long career in the film industry, he has delivered remarkable performances across diverse genres, from action and romance to science fiction and thrillers.

Prabhas made headlines with the blockbuster epic Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017).

Prabhas has also starred in major hits such as the action thriller Saaho (2019), the action drama Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023), and the sci-fi spectacle Kalki 2898 AD (2024), all of which rank among the highest-grossing Indian films. As the star grows older and wiser, let’s take a look back at some of his unforgettable performances.

Baahubali 1 & 2 (2015, 2017)

SS Rajamouli’s epic, Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), catapulted Prabhas to overnight pan-India stardom. With his commanding performance, boundless energy, and magnetic screen presence in dual roles, he won over millions of fans and firmly secured his place in the hearts of audiences across the globe.

Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023)

Directed by Prashanth Neel, this high-octane Telugu action film features Prabhas as Deva, a man with a mysterious past who ascends to power in a brutal world. His gritty, intense, and raw performance won him widespread praise from critics and audiences alike.

Kalki 2898 AD (2024)

In this Indian Telugu-language epic science-fiction film, Prabhas once again showcased his versatility by taking on a dual role: Bhairava, a bounty hunter, and Karna, an ancient warrior allied with the Kauravas and the past life of Bhairava.

Co-written and directed by Nag Ashwin, the film features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Inspired by Hindu scriptures, it marks the first installment of the planned Kalki Cinematic Universe.

Billa (2009)

Prabhas’s flair for portraying dual roles didn’t begin with Baahubali. Early in his career, he showcased his dedication and versatility by playing two contrasting characters in Billa, David Billa, a feared gangster and powerful don and Ranga, a small-time petty criminal. Directed by Meher Ramesh, the film is a remake of the 1978 Hindi classic Don.

Chatrapathi (2005)

Before his blockbuster collaboration with S.S. Rajamouli in Baahubali, Prabhas worked with the director in Chatrapathi during the early days of his career. He played a refugee who rises to become a hero and protector of his people. Though one of his initial films, it highlighted his charisma and clearly signaled that he had arrived to capture the hearts of audiences.
