Upasana Kamineni, who welcomed daughter Klin Kaara with actor Ram Charan in June 2023, has always been very careful in protecting their little one’s privacy. As parents, the couple has made it a point not to reveal their daughter’s face in public or on social media. During every appearance, both Ram and Upasana have made sure to cover Klin’s face.
While speaking to Hindustan Times, the businesswoman revealed the reason behind keeping their daughter away from the limelight. Upasana discussed that she and her husband have consciously limited their two-year-old daughter’s public appearances, ensuring that she isn’t constantly in the public eye. Many celebrities have started following a similar approach in recent times.

When asked if they plan to continue doing so until their daughter reaches a certain age, Upasana mentioned, “I don’t know.” She then explained, “The world is a place that’s changing so rapidly, and few incidents scare us as parents, but we also want to give a child the freedom to live.”
Furthermore, the businesswoman, who is the Vice Chairman of CSR Apollo Hospitals Group, shared how taxing it is to always ensure that her daughter’s face is covered. “Covering her face while going to the airport or things like that. It’s a huge task for the mother, for the child, for the father, for everyone around as well. So I don’t know whether we are doing the right thing or not, but for now, we are happy where we are,” she added.
When Upasana Kamineni Partially Revealed Her Daughter’s Face
Back in June, Ram Charan and Upasana marked the second birthday of their beloved daughter with a visit to a zoo. In a picture shared by the entrepreneur, who belongs to the Apollo Hospitals family in India, Klin was seen adorably looking at a baby tigress. Her face was partially visible in the photo as Upasana held her in her arms.
In the caption, Upasana wrote, “A year ago, she was just a tiny cub. Today, she’s a playful tigress and shares her name with our KlinKaara. Thank you to the Hyderabad Zoo for this lovely gesture. We believe wildlife belongs in the wild, but also support efforts that honour their lives with dignity and care. Here’s to growing up with kindness, courage, and compassion.”
