Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan left everyone impressed on Saturday night as they walked the ramp for a show in Mumbai. The two actors, currently enjoying the success of their recently released movie Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, looked stylish as they sported glittery outfits and flaunted their million-dollar smiles. While Janhvi looked hottest in a saree, Varun looked charming and dapper in a black suit.
In a video from the show that surfaced on social media, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor were seen holding hands as they walked on the ramp. Varun also lifted Janhvi in his arms and left her surprised. Watch the video here:
About Varun And Janhvi’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, directed by Shashank Khaitan, tells the story of Sunny (Varun Dhawan) and Tulsi (Janhvi Kapoor). The plot revolves around the two protagonists striving to win back their former partners, Ananya (Sanya Malhotra) and Vikram (Rohit Saraf), as their families push for fresh planned weddings. The film, which stars Maniesh Paul, Akshay Oberoi, Abhinav Sharma, and other supporting actors, promises to be a fun and unique twist on the romcom genre.
News18 Showsha gave the film 3.5 stars. Part of our review read, “The film is at once hilariously boisterous, romantically tender, and quietly observant of the cultural tides of its time. Nostalgia hangs in the air like the scent of old jasmine, yet the rhythm is contemporary enough to keep you tapping your foot. One feels the old grammar of Bollywood romance being gently remixed for an era that scrolls on reels, swipes for validation, and uses vocabulary like ‘situationships’ to define emotions once considered sacred.”
However, despite receiving mixed reviews, the film has crossed Rs 9 crore mark at the box office as of now. Recently, Varun alleged that ‘someone’ is doing a negative campaign against his film. The actor was speaking to BBC Asia Network when he claimed that while he knows who is behind the smear campaign, he prefers not to reveal their name.
“Today, there can be so much manipulation and botting and fake trends, and there have been a couple against Sunny Sanskari as well, which are just bots against the film for no reason. After a time, if it gets too much, you can just name the person, but we don’t want to because it’s someone else’s insecurity that is showing,” Varun said.
