Hina Khan opens up about the stigma cancer patients face in the entertainment industry, stressing the importance of mental strength and the will to keep working.

Hina Khan has been fighting stage three breast cancer for about a year, and the actress has come out as an inspiration for many who are battling problems in life. Recently, the actress revealed the taboos surrounding artists in the entertainment industry.

While speaking to ANI, Hina Khan said, “This taboo that a cancer patient has to sit at home and do nothing, and that their life is over, is not true. A few days are difficult, but after that, you can get back to work. You should have that will, that strength, and the love of your family.”

“I will always keep doing this (acting), provided my body supports me. Your mental strength is the most important thing. Therefore, you must be mentally strong and remain happy. If you think this (cancer) is nothing, it becomes nothing,” she added while sharing that she will never quit acting.

Hina Khan’s personal life

The couple, who met on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has been in a relationship for over 13 years.
