According to reports, the much-loved stars of Telugu cinema have taken their relationship to the next level by getting engaged in a private ceremony attended only by close family and friends. The couple is now reportedly planning to tie the knot in February 2026.
Though both Vijay and Rashmika have chosen not to comment on their relationship status publicly, reports from M9 News suggest the engagement took place quietly, reflecting their shared preference for keeping personal milestones away from the spotlight.
Fans spot a “hint” in Rashmika’s festive post
Adding to the buzz, Rashmika recently shared a Dussehra post on Instagram that sent fans into a frenzy. The actor was seen wearing a beautiful traditional saree and a tilak on her forehead — sparking speculation that the pictures might be from her engagement.
Sharing her festive wishes, she wrote, “Happy Dussehra my loves… This year, I’m feeling extra grateful because of all the love you’ve been showering on the Thamma trailer and our song… Your messages, your excitement, your constant support you make every moment bigger and happier for me And I can’t wait to see you all super sooooon during the promotions…(sic).”
Within minutes, her comments section was flooded with congratulatory messages from fans convinced that the post was more than just festive cheer.
“Everyone knows about it” moment resurfaces
This isn’t the first time Rashmika has sparked dating chatter. During Pushpa 2 promotions last year, when asked if she would marry someone from the film industry, she cheekily replied, “Everyone knows about it,” prompting laughter from Allu Arjun and the audience.
Despite multiple vacation sightings and consistent buzz around their relationship, both actors have remained tight-lipped about their personal lives.
What’s next for Rashmika and Vijay
On the work front, Rashmika is gearing up for the release of Aditya Sarpotdar’s horror-comedy Thamma, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal. The film is set to hit cinemas on October 21, 2025. She has also wrapped Cocktail 2 with Kriti Sanon.
