Janhvi Kapoor grabbed everyone’s attention on Thursday as she arrived for her sister, Anshula Kapoor’s engagement with Rohan Thakkar. In a video that surfaced on social media, the ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ actress was all smiles as she arrived at the venue. She looked gorgeous in a black body-hugging outfit with glam makeup and no accessories. She also left her tresses open and let her outfit take the centre stage.
Before Janhvi, Arjun Kapoor was also snapped by the paparazzi as he arrived for Anshula’s engagement. He looked dapper in a kurta but won hearts with his kind gesture towards the paparazzi. “Meri ek request hai, baarish bhi hai. Aap log shaant raho. Zyada log nahi hai, ghar ke hi members hai. Kyunke building walo ke apne hi rules hai, apna apna chhota mota kuch chalraha hai unka. Aap log shanti se raho, zyada awaaz mat karo (I have one request, it’s raining too. Please stay calm. There aren’t too many people, only family members are here. Because the building residents have their own rules, their own small matters going on. So please stay quiet, don’t make too much noise),” the actor told shutterbugs.
“Aap bhi unko rehne dijiye. Woh humari family hai (You also let them be. They are our family),” he further told the venue’s staff.
Sonam Kapoor, who is reportedly expecting her second child with her husband, Anand Ahuja, was also spotted arriving for Anshula Kapoor’s engagement. However, she did not stop to pose for the paparazzi.
Before their traditional engagement rituals, Anshula and Rohan’s love story had already captured hearts. In July, Anshula shared that she had said ‘yes’ to Rohan’s proposal in New York City’s iconic Central Park. The romantic moment, set near a historic castle, was nothing short of a Bollywood dream.
Rohan’s proposal was deeply thoughtful and symbolic. He chose the exact moment, 1:15 am India time, to get down on one knee, because that was the very hour they had first connected on a dating app. In her Instagram post, Anshula described the experience as “better than a fairytale”, filled with laughter, tears, and overwhelming emotions.
