Wedding bells are ringing in the Kapoor household as Anshula Kapoor, daughter of veteran producer Boney Kapoor and sister of Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, is set to get engaged to her longtime partner, writer-director Rohan Thakkar. The intimate celebration has already become the talk of the town, with friends, family, and fans showering the couple with love.
According to Hindustan Times, the engagement ceremony is planned as a low-key family affair, beginning with a puja to mark the start of this new chapter, and is scheduled for tomorrow. Present at the ceremony will be her father Boney Kapoor, brother Arjun Kapoor, and sisters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. While the family is keeping the event private, excitement is already building for the grand wedding, expected to take place later this year in December.
A Magical Proposal In Central Park, New York
Before their traditional engagement rituals, Anshula and Rohan’s love story had already captured hearts. In July, Anshula shared that she had said ‘yes’ to Rohan’s proposal in New York City’s iconic Central Park. The romantic moment, set near a historic castle, was nothing short of a Bollywood dream.
Rohan’s proposal was deeply thoughtful and symbolic. He chose the exact moment, 1:15 am India time, to get down on one knee, because that was the very hour they had first connected on a dating app. In her Instagram post, Anshula described the experience as “better than a fairytale”, filled with laughter, tears, and overwhelming emotions.

Talking about her love story, Anshula revealed, “We met on an app. Started talking on a random Tuesday at 1.15 AM. We spoke until 6 am that morning. And somehow, even back then, it felt like the beginning of something that mattered. 3 years later, in my favourite city, in front of the castle in Central Park, he proposed! At exactly 1.15 AM India time! And somehow the world paused just long enough for the moment to feel like magic. “
Sharing glimpses of her life-changing moment, Anshula revealed how thoughtful and personal Rohan’s proposal was. After saying yes, the couple celebrated in their own quirky style with a meal at Shake Shack, honouring their very first conversation about their shared love for the Shroom Burger.

While the couple is yet to officially announce their wedding date, reports suggest the big day could be set for December 2025.
