Tom Holland had fans swooning after a video of him correcting a journalist went viral on social media. During a recent panel, a reporter recalled how his daughter met Zendaya and mistakenly referred to her as Holland’s “girlfriend.” The Spider-Man: No Way Home actor quickly laughed and interjected with a simple but heartfelt correction: “Fiancée.”
The clip, shared widely on X on Sept. 29, sparked a wave of admiration online. Fans gushed over Holland’s gesture, calling it both “adorable” and “respectful,” reinforcing just how deeply he values his relationship with Zendaya.

Holland and Zendaya, who confirmed their romance in 2021, took their relationship to the next level when they got engaged in late 2024. The news was revealed after Zendaya debuted her sparkling five-carat diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025.
Holland’s father, Dominic, later shared that the proposal had been carefully planned. Writing in a Patreon post, he revealed, “He had purchased a ring, spoken with her father, and gained permission to propose. Tom had everything planned out—when, where, how, what to say, what to wear.”
Wedding Plans Still on Hold
Although the engagement has delighted fans worldwide, the couple has yet to dive into wedding planning. Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, explained earlier this year that her busy filming schedule has delayed preparations. “The process hasn’t even started yet,” he told E! News. “Zendaya is working on so many movies. We have time.”
Despite the wait, Roach reassured fans that the big day will be unforgettable. “[They] really love each other and have for a really long time,” he said. “The fact that the world has been able to share in that love story, I think it’s really beautiful.”
