The Durga Puja festivities have begun and on Saptami, Jaya Bachchan was spotted visiting Kajol’s family puja- the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja. The veteran actress is seen at the puja almost every year. In a viral video, Kajol is greeting Jaya Bachchan. The duo share a warm hug and then face the camera.
Jaya Bachchan was dressed for the occasion in a cream saree. Kajol brought out her festive spirit in a yellow-pink saree. She pulled her hair into a tight bun. Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham starred Kajol and Jaya Bachchan as daughter-in-law and mother-in-law, respectively. Off screen, Kajol and Jaya Bachchan have a good friendship. In another video, Jaya Bachchan was seen seeking blessings in front of the idol and interacting with a number of other guests. The actress was seen smiling heartily during the festival.
Kajol Remembers Deb Mukherjee
A day ago, both Kajol and Rani Mukerji were in tears as they remembered their uncle Deb Mukherjee, who died earlier this year. Deb Mukherjee was the father of director Ayan Mukerji. The video quickly became viral. In a heartfelt video, sisters Kajol, Rani, and Tanisha were seen hugging each other, extremely distraught. Kajol also gave Ayan a deep hug before they posed for shots.

Kajol further shared a string of images from the celebrations and wrote, “Unveiling .. such an emotional moment .. to step on the pandal after this past year and all our losses, somehow it was dearer and at the same time so tough to do.. we miss them all.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Jaya Bachchan will soon be seen in Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling. The film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead. Directed by Vikas Bahl, it is produced by Ramesh Taurani, Harman Baweja, Rohandeep Singh, Viraj Sawant, and Ramesh Pulapaka. The film will hit theatres later this year. Kajol on the other hand was most recently seen in the second season The Trial.
