Who Is Veer Sharma
The child actor gained recognition for his role as young Lakshman in the mythological drama show Veer Hanuman, which premiered on Sony SAB.
Not just this, Veer was also gearing up for his Bollywood debut as he was slated to portray the childhood version of actor Saif Ali Khan in an upcoming film, marking another milestone in his budding career. As per NDTV, the child actor was supposed to reach Mumbai this week to kickstart the shooting for the project.
His older brother, Shaurya Sharma, was equally bright, focusing on preparation for the highly competitive IIT entrance exam.
At the time of the tragic incident, their father, Jitendra Sharma, a teacher at a Kota coaching college, was attending a bhajan event, while their mother, actress Rita Sharma, was in Mumbai.
What Was The Cause Of the Fire?
As per NDTV, quoting the Police officials, both the kids reportedly died due to suffocation caused by thick smoke. Neighbours, who observed smoke coming from the flat, rushed to break down the door and bring the youngsters out. They were rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state, but were declared dead by the doctors upon arrival.
Superintendent of Police Tejeshwani Goutam claimed that an electrical fault is the most likely cause of the incident; however, investigations are still underway. “The living room was completely gutted, and other areas of the flat had burn marks,” she said. Station House Officer Bhupendra Singh also stated that a short-circuit could have caused the fire.
The authorities have filed an FIR under Section 194 of the BNSS Act. Investigators are attempting to discover the exact cause of the fire and whether electrical negligence caused the accident.
