Actor Parag Tyagi has opened up for the first time about the sudden death of his wife, Shefali Jariwala, in June this year. Her untimely demise had sparked widespread speculation, with many reports claiming she died after taking anti-ageing medicine on an empty stomach. Parag has now called these reports “half-baked information” during a podcast on his YouTube channel, Shefali Parag Tyagi.
“This is half-baked information. I want to ask, which of these were anti-ageing medicines? Shefali didn’t want to take multivitamins daily as she would forget them, so she took them through IV drip once a month. These included multivitamins, Vitamin C, collagen, and glutathione, which is one of the best antioxidants,” Parag clarified.
He also addressed claims that Shefali was fasting on the day of her death. “She did fast that day, but she had food after performing pooja, then slept, and ate again later. It wasn’t like she didn’t eat at all,” he added. Parag emphasised that Shefali valued discipline and self-care, enjoying a balanced life that included occasional treats like ice cream or Chinese food.
Since her passing, Parag has dedicated himself to honouring Shefali’s memory. He recently launched a YouTube channel where he shared insights into their life together and discussed her final days. With tears in his voice, he opened up about fulfilling her dreams and sharing her story with fans.
One of his major steps in her memory is the creation of the Shefali Jariwala Rise Foundation, an NGO focused on educating underprivileged children and empowering women. Through his posts and projects, Parag continues to preserve Shefali’s spirit, keeping fans connected to her legacy.
Parag concluded with a heartfelt message to the public: “I don’t know where this fasting story came from. People just picked it up and spread it. I request everyone to find the truth before talking.”
Shefali Jariwala’s sudden death shook fans and the Bollywood industry alike, but Parag Tyagi’s revelations now put an end to the speculation, honouring her life and legacy with clarity and love.
Shefali Jariwala, who rose to fame with the iconic music video Kaanta Laga, passed away on June 27 at the age of 42, reportedly due to a cardiac arrest. Her sudden death left fans and the entertainment world stunned. In the days following her passing, there were reports that the couple’s pet dog, Simba, hadn’t been keeping well. Parag Tyagi later shared an emotional video showing Simba taking part in rituals that are traditionally performed by a son.
