Bollywood stars lit up the Homebound premiere as Janhvi Kapoor stunned in a regal saree, while Vicky Kaushal, Ishaan Khatter and others turned heads with bold styles.

Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter & Vicky dazzle at Homebound premiere.
All eyes were on Janhvi Kapoor as she graced the red carpet in a royal blue saree paired with a contrasting black velvet blouse. The saree was Janhvi’s tribute to her mother, late legendary actress Sridevi. The saree featured an ornate gold and maroon embroidered border that added a regal touch.
Styled with a sleek bun, traditional jewellery, and radiant makeup, Janhvi’s look effortlessly combined elegance with old-world charm. The actress, who plays a pivotal role in Homebound, exuded poise and confidence, embodying her rising star power in Bollywood.
Vicky, Ishaan Bring Contemporary Edge
Vicky Kaushal opted for understated sophistication in a beige blazer teamed with a black tee and matching trousers. His clean-cut look was elevated with aviator sunglasses and a neatly groomed moustache, lending him a retro charm. Vicky arrived solo at the event which led to fans speculating if Katrina was indeed pregnant. Ishaan Khatter, on the other hand, embraced a more experimental vibe with a relaxed black-and-white ensemble. He paired a crisp white shirt with black trousers and draped a black stole across his shoulders, creating a casual yet striking silhouette that highlighted his youthful persona.
Designer Manish Malhotra also made an appearance in an all-black kurta-pajama set with subtle button detailing, staying true to his signature minimal-yet-polished style. His close friend Karan Johar contrasted the look with a summer-ready ivory linen suit, accessorized with a statement pendant and tinted glasses, giving the red carpet a dose of breezy sophistication.
Bollywood Celebrates A Landmark Film
The Homebound premiere was not just a star-studded affair but also a celebration of Indian cinema making global strides. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film has already been announced as India’s official entry to the 2026 Academy Awards. Starring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor, the story follows a Muslim and a Dalit navigating systemic barriers while aspiring to join the police force.
At a press conference earlier in the day, Ghaywan emphasized balancing star power with storytelling. “If our goal was only to take the film to festivals like Cannes or TIFF, we were confident it would receive applause. But to truly connect with audiences, we needed the support of stars. That said, the story will always remain the real king of any film,” he explained.
