Amitabh Bachchan, the ‘Shahenshah’ of Bollywood, never disappoints when it comes to following his Sunday ritual. He never misses greeting his fans outside his Mumbai house, Jalsa, every Sunday. True to tradition, the 82-year-old stepped out on September 21 to wave at his fans, and this time with a surprise.
Dressed in a stylish white-on-white kurta-pyjama paired with an off-white brownish Nehru jacket, Big B stood tall on his usual raised platform, and he didn’t only greet his fans but also gave them a few gifts. The actor, with a wide smile on his face, presented his fans with umbrellas and helmets.
Last week, just like every Sunday, Amitabh Bachchan greeted fans outside Jalsa. But last Sunday was special for one fan, Vishwa Narwal, who had travelled to Mumbai for a project. In a video circulating online, the woman recalled that while wandering around Juhu, her taxi driver mentioned it was Sunday, the day Amitabh Bachchan usually greets his fans.
A long-time admirer, she decided to visit Jalsa with a bouquet of flowers. To her astonishment, Amitabh Bachchan noticed the flowers, instructed his security team to bring them to him, and later sent her an autographed photograph in a heartwarming gesture.

The veteran actor is currently busy hosting the 17th season of the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Amitabh Bachchan has been the charismatic face of the show since its inception in 2000, with the exception of the third season, which was hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The latest season airs on Sony TV from Monday to Friday at 9 PM, with fans also able to stream it online on SonyLIV.
On the cinema front, Amitabh Bachchan is awaiting the release of his courtroom drama Section 84, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and co-starring Abhishek Banerjee and Nimrat Kaur. The thriller revolves around a retired politician navigating high-stakes decisions in a bid to reclaim his former glory.
He is also set to reprise his role as Ashvatthama in Nag Ashwin’s upcoming Kalki 2, alongside Prabhas and Kamal Haasan. The mythological drama follows the trio as they protect SUM-80’s unborn child, believed to be Kalki, against a dystopian backdrop set in the year 2898 AD. The film, inspired by Hindu scriptures, is expected to begin shooting in December.
