Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj’s fantasy action drama Mirai has been receiving much appreciation from the audience for its gripping storyline and high-octane action sequences. Looking at the box office collection, it is safe to say that Karthik Gattamneni’s directorial debut has maintained a stable performance throughout this week.
Distributed by Dharma Productions in Hindi, Mirai features a versatile lineup of cast, including Teja Sajja, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jayaram, Jagapathi Babu, Rajendranath Zutshi, Pawan Chopra, Tanja Keller, and Manchu Manoj.
Mirai (Hindi) Day 6 Box Office Collection
As per Sacnilk reports, the fantasy action drama debuted with Rs 1.65 crore on its Hindi screening, followed by Rs 3 crore on Saturday and Rs 3.05 crore on Sunday, closing the opening weekend with an impressive Rs 7.07 crore collection. Despite its impressive performance during the weekends, Mirai saw a significant dip in the collection on weekdays. The film’s collection dropped on Monday, earning Rs 1.15 crore; however, things took a turn for Mirai on Tuesday as the film minted Rs 1.65 crore at the box office. As per early estimates on Wednesday, the film only collected Rs 1.05 crore, leading its 6-day collection to stand around Rs 11 crore.
Occupancy
On day 6, Mirai Hindi witnessed a 6.14 per cent occupancy rate in the morning shows, while the afternoon shows saw a hike with a 12.87 per cent occupancy rate. On the evening of day 6, Mirai Hindi shows an occupancy rate dipped to 0, whereas the night show saw an impressive 15.72 per cent occupancy rate. Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Lucknow were some of the main regions with the highest Hindi occupancy.
In the upcoming week, Mirai is about to face strong competition with the release of Jolly LLB 3 and Nishaanchi. As the Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi starrer courtroom drama started to generate buzz among audiences before its release, it might affect Mirai’s upcoming box office run.
What is the plot of Mirai?
Mirai revolves around the story of a young man named Vedha (Teja Sajja) who is destined to become a great warrior and guard the nine scriptures of Emperor Ashoka from evil sorcerer Mahabir Lama (Manchu Manoj), who seeks extreme power in order to control the world. Vedha must learn to harness his powers so that he is able to embrace his destiny as a protector.
