Deepika Padukone Kalki 2 Exit: Deepika Padukone will not be a part of the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. On Thursday, the makers of Prabhas starrer took to their official X handle and announced the actress’ exit from the film. The announcement hinted that Deepika is no longer a part of the project because a film like Kalki “deserves commitment”.
“This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, We have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future works,” it read.

It should be noted that Deepika Padukone has not issued any official statement so far regarding her exit from Kalki 2.
Deepika Padukone Also Removed From Spirit
Kalki is the second Prabhas movie from which Deepika Padukone has exited. Previously, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had also removed the actress from Spirit. Reports suggest that her demands, including eight-hour workdays, a high salary, and a share in the film’s profits, did not sit well with director Vanga. Deepika, a new mother, is reportedly seeking to balance her work and personal life by reducing her working hours.
Vanga also took to his X handle and slammed Deepika by accusing her of playing ‘dirty PR games’. “When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are…Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft & for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn’t get it. You won’t get it. You will never get it,” Vanga wrote and then added, “Aisa karo…. Agli baar poori kahani bolna… kyunki mujhe jarra bhi farak nahi padtha. #dirtyPRgames. I like this kahawath very much 🙂 खुंदक में बिल्ली खंबा नोचे !”
Following Deepika’s exit, it was then confirmed that Triptii Dimri will play a part in the Vanga directorial.
