Bollywood star Govinda recently visited the Swaminarayan Temple in New Jersey, where he offered prayers and spent some peaceful moments in devotion. Known for his energetic performances and iconic films, Govinda took a spiritual pause during his trip to the United States to connect with faith.
At the temple, Govinda was seen with folded hands as he sought blessings and admired the divine atmosphere of the sacred place. His visit was appreciated by devotees present at the temple, many of whom were delighted to see the actor in such a humble and devotional mood.
The actor’s visit to the Swaminarayan Temple has also drawn warm reactions from fans on social media, with many praising him for staying rooted in culture and spirituality despite his global recognition.
Govinda’s visit to ISKCON
Govinda often visits temples. Earlier, on the occasion of Janmashtami, the actor visited the ISKCON temple. In the clip, he was seen wearing a red kurta-pyjama paired with a beige shawl around his neck. The actor was snapped stepping out of his car before entering the temple in Juhu, taking darshan, and later interacting with the pandits and other members at the temple before he headed back.
Why is Govinda in news?
Govinda had been in the headlines for quite some time because of divorce rumours with wife Sunita Ahuja. But shortly after these reports started to make headlines, Sunita Ahuja addressed and dismissed the news of trouble in their marriage.
When questioned about the ongoing divorce rumours during Ganpati celebrations, Sunita quickly interrupted and said, “Aap log controversies sunne aaye ho ki Ganpati Bappa ke liye aaye ho? Koi controversy nahi hai.”
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja were also seen distributing sweets to the paparazzi as they welcomed Ganpati Bappa to their Mumbai residence. Several celebrities, including Bigg Boss 13 fame Paras Chhabra, were also spotted arriving at Govinda and Sunita’s home for Ganpati darshan.
Earlier reports suggested that Sunita had filed for divorce in the Bandra Family Court on December 5, 2024, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion under Section 13 (1) (i), (ia), and (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. Govinda was reportedly summoned by the court but failed to appear until May 2025.
