Ahead of the high-voltage India vs Pakistan Asia Cup clash, Poonam Pandey hit Mumbai streets with placards declaring, “Main Zinda Hoon, India Hi Jeetega.” The viral stunt divided fans.
The much-awaited India vs Pakistan Asia Cup showdown is set to unfold today (September 14, 2025) at the Dubai International Stadium, and unsurprisingly, drama off the field has already begun. Actress and internet sensation Poonam Pandey grabbed attention once again, this time by taking to the streets of Mumbai with her trademark mix of flamboyance and patriotism.
In a video shared on Instagram, Poonam was seen holding placards while cheering for Team India in the middle of a busy Mumbai street. Captioning her post, she wrote, “Took to the crowded Mumbai streets today, clearly intrigued fans and why?! Well, stating it LOUD & CLEAR — India🇮🇳 Hi Jeetega.”
She further teased her followers with another cheeky line: “All set for today’s most controversial (than me too) Cricket Match!!! Are you?!”
One of her placards boldly declared, “MAIN POONAM PANDEY! MAIN ZINDA HOON AUR INDIA JEETNE WALI HAI! #INDIAHIJEETEGA.” The other read: “EVEN MY CONTROVERSIES LAST LONGER THAN PAKISTAN’S BATTING! #INDIAHIJEETEGA.”
Passersby looked amused and some even joined in cheering with her, turning her street-side act into an impromptu rally of support for Team India.
Bollywood Celebs Share Their Take on the Match
While Poonam chose to make headlines with her dramatic gesture, other Bollywood stars voiced their opinions in more traditional ways. Raveena Tandon took to X and suggested a symbolic gesture from the Indian squad, “So ok the match is on. I hope our team plays with black bands on and takes a knee. Before taking victory.”
Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty shared a more measured perspective when speaking to the media. He reminded fans that the match is part of a global sporting event, “It’s a world sporting body. They have to abide by those rules and regulations because there are a lot of other sports and a lot of athletes who are involved in them. As Indians, I think that is our personal call that we have to take, whether we want to see it, whether we don’t want to see it, whether we want to go or not go and that’s a call India has to take.”
With emotions already running high, today’s clash promises more than just cricket — it’s a cultural and political flashpoint, amplified by the voices of celebrities both on and off the field.
