Shweta Tiwari plays a gangster in Do You Wanna Partner
Shweta Tiwari plays a gangster in Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty-starrer Do You Wanna Partner. The trailer of the series ends with Shweta, belting out abuses to prove a point. At a press conference held in Mumbai, she spoke about using cuss words for her role.
Shweta Tiwari opened up about the challenges she faced while preparing for her intense role. She admitted that when the makers first approached her, she couldn’t believe they thought she could pull it off. “I wondered how they even imagined me in this part. It felt impossible. Even after reading the script, I questioned myself, thinking — how can I ever do this?” she revealed.
The toughest part for her was delivering abusive dialogues. “Whenever I had to say a harsh abuse, I would feel very upset and scared,” she recalled. That’s when director Archit Kumar stepped in to guide her. “He would hold my hand and tell me to repeat the same abuse loudly and with confidence,” she said.
Shweta Tiwari also credited Tamannaah Bhatia for constantly encouraging her and helping her shed her inhibitions. “Tamannaah kept trying to take the fear out of me. Because of Ajith and Tamannaah, I was able to play this character,” she said with gratitude.
