Bigg Boss 16 star Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is reportedly set to headline Naagin 7, taking over the supernatural franchise’s latest season on Colors TV.

The supernatural franchise Naagin is all set to return with its seventh season, and reports suggest Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will be stepping into the coveted lead role. Known for her breakout role in Udaariyaan and her impactful stint on Bigg Boss 16, where she emerged as the second runner-up, Priyanka now joins the legacy of actresses who have headlined this popular Colors TV series.
Past leading ladies of Naagin include Mouni Roy, Surbhi Jyoti, Nia Sharma, Surbhi Chandna, and Tejasswi Prakash, each of whom left their mark on the franchise. According to ABP’s Saas Bahu Aur Saazish (SBS), Priyanka has been finalized for the seventh season, though neither Colors TV nor producer Ektaa Kapoor has officially announced the casting yet.
The channel had previously confirmed on August 24 that Naagin 7 is in the works, releasing a teaser to excite fans about the next installment.

As soon as reports of Priyanka’s involvement surfaced, social media buzzed with excitement. Fans flooded X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram with congratulatory posts. One admirer wrote, “Welcome Priyanka 🐍”, while another added, “If it’s true then super excited.” A third fan noted, “She is so talented as an actress and her expressions… she is most suitable for the lead role of Naagin 7. The previous season, Naagin 6, featured Tejasswi Prakash in the lead and concluded in July 2023 after a successful run. Since 2018, the show has followed a format of introducing a fresh female lead each season, keeping audiences intrigued with a mix of melodrama, fantasy, and new faces.
A Franchise With Cult Popularity
Naagin, produced by Ektaa Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, first premiered in 2015 with Mouni Roy playing the lead role. The series quickly climbed television TRPs, earning a cult following for its mix of supernatural twists, shape-shifting storylines, and high-octane drama.
With the teaser for season seven already out, fans are eager to see how the makers will reinvent the fantasy drama once again. While details about the plot remain under wraps, the buzz around Priyanka’s casting is only fueling curiosity.
