Badshah has built a career on hits that stick, but it’s his quick wit that’s grabbing headlines on his current Unfinished USA Tour. At his New Jersey stop, the rapper left the crowd howling when he flipped a Bollywood track into a political punchline aimed at Donald Trump. Within minutes, the clip was everywhere online, with fans hailing it as the highlight of the night.

A Dig At Donald Trump’s Tariffs On India That went Viral

The viral video shows Badshah in the middle of performing Tareefan from Veere Di Wedding. Instead of the original line Kinniya Tareefan Chahidi Ae Tenu (How many compliments do you want), he belted out Kinni Tariff Chahidiye Trump Ko (How much tariff does Trump want). The crowd roared, and the internet followed with memes, cheers, and endless replays.

Badshah Explains The Jibe At The US President

Asked why he pulled it off, Badshah said: “Hip-hop’s always been about calling out the absurdities of power. It felt right—using humour live to shine a light on something that concerns India and its people.”

He added that spontaneity is part of his DNA on stage. He said, “My banter is mostly spontaneous. If a current hot topic grabs my attention, I’ll riff on it in the moment. Spontaneity keeps the connection real; no one wants a perfectly scripted show.”

Punjab On His Mind

Amid the jokes, Badshah also turned serious. He used the platform to talk about the ongoing floods in Punjab, which have devastated farmland and displaced lakhs of people. “I also spoke about the Punjab flood crisis at the very kick-off of the tour because it has been playing up on my psyche and I’m deeply concerned,” he told us.

More Than Just Music

Badshah insists his shows are not only about beats and bangers. “My goal is simple: to make every person in that crowd feel seen, heard, and included in the larger conversation,” he said. Fans online seem to agree, calling his tour a mix of comedy, conscience, and connection.
